The 52.5-metre Limerence, recently delivered by Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts, demonstrates the growing demand for yachts that bridge the gap between traditional support vessels and fully-fledged superyachts.

Originally conceived as a pure toy carrier, the design evolved in close collaboration between the owner and shipyard to create a vessel equally suited to operate independently or in tandem with a mothership.

“Limerence” combines operational capability with a level of onboard comfort and finish that aligns with current superyacht expectations. Designed in partnership with Azure Yacht Design, the yacht features a robust explorer-style bow and expansive aft decks dedicated to aviation and tender operations. The sculpted blue topsides, a specific owner request, are contrasted by dark glazing across the bridge and main decks.

The vessel is equipped with a commercially certified helideck capable of accommodating larger helicopters, including the Bell 429 and Airbus H145, and incorporates onboard refuelling facilities to support extended aviation operations. This capability enables remote itineraries without the need for frequent port calls.

“Limerence”: Designed for independent operation and support roles

Below the helideck, “Limerence” offers extensive storage for tenders and watercraft. The equipment list includes a Wajer 38S, a 12.5-metre X-Tender, a Ski Nautique GS20, and a rescue RIB, alongside jet skis, foil boards, Seabobs, dive scooters, kite- and windsurfing equipment, e-bikes, sailing catamarans and dinghies. A dedicated dive centre supports both scuba and free diving. Although not currently carrying a submersible, the yacht was constructed with this option in mind.

The helideck structure is designed for multipurpose use and can be converted into a netted sports area for basketball, volleyball, pickleball or football. Additional facilities include golfing and laser clay shooting equipment.

Despite the comprehensive technical and operational outfitting, the yacht offers a fully developed hospitality profile. Interiors, designed by CT Mimarlık in collaboration with Alia’s in-house team, focus on contemporary, understated finishes in keeping with modern yacht design trends.

Accommodation includes a full-beam owner’s suite with convertible lounge area and two further guest cabins configurable between twin or double layouts. All cabins feature en-suite facilities with marble finishes and ample storage. The bridge deck includes a lounge and exterior dining area. A dedicated watersports lounge replaces the traditional main deck saloon.

“Limerence’s adaptable deck spaces allow for a range of leisure uses beyond daytime operations. The beach club can be configured for dining, while the helideck supports use as a temporary entertainment space with audio-visual equipment or as an open-air cinema.

The yacht is available for charter through Christie Yachts, with plans for Mediterranean deployment during the summer season and potential Caribbean, Bahamas or Central American itineraries in winter.

According to Gokhan Çelik, President of Alia Yachts, Limerence demonstrates the yard’s flexibility in delivering fully custom projects that meet specific operational and lifestyle requirements.
