Nauta has unveiled its latest design for Kiboko 4, the second unit in Southern Wind’s 35.51-metre SW108 sailing yacht series. The yacht combines performance-oriented features with a focus on comfort and practicality.

“Kiboko 4” follows “Gelliceaux”, the first SW108, which demonstrated strong performance by winning the St Barths Bucket (overall and division) and the Ibiza JoySail regatta (Performance Cruising L division) in 2024.

The design brief centred on enhancing the sailing experience through efficient handling, faster passages, and comfortable onboard living—whether cruising the Mediterranean or participating in regattas. Naval architecture is by Farr Yacht Design, while Nauta contributed to both exterior and interior concepts, focusing on clarity of layout and refined aesthetics.

“We aimed to translate the owner’s vision into a yacht that balances performance and visual harmony, adaptable to both competitive sailing and relaxed cruising,” said Massimo Gino, CEO of Nauta.

“Kiboko 4” aligns with the owner’s environmental values

The design reflects Nauta’s GT style, developed with Southern Wind: clean lines, modern proportions, and a cohesive deck layout that facilitates movement and crew efficiency. The guest cockpit includes C-shaped seating areas for dining or relaxing under a bimini and sprayhood. A wide, sheltered companionway connects seamlessly to the interior.

At the aft end, the flush teak deck transitions into floating bench seats integrated with winch platforms. A distinctive detail is the sculpted composite aft end of the coachroof—shaped like a lightning bolt—adding visual identity while maintaining a low-profile silhouette.

The yacht features a dark hull and mast with a contrasting light grey superstructure, highlighting her performance-oriented design. The opening transom conceals a garage for a 5-metre tender and folds down into a swim platform and beach club area.

“Kiboko 4” also incorporates a deck made from natural, sustainably sourced wood, aligning with the owner’s environmental values.
