The Water Revolution Foundation has appointed Jemma Lampkin to its Board of Directors. As the representative for the yachting supply chain, she is expected to strengthen the board’s sectoral breadth and bring in perspectives from across the wider maritime ecosystem.
Lampkin has been Global Commercial Director of AkzoNobel’s Yacht Coatings division since 2022. She has worked for the company for more than ten years, including in senior positions within the Aerospace Coatings business. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Columbia University and an Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore.
Known as an advocate for sustainable product development in yacht coatings, Lampkin drives initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact while maintaining performance standards. She is also a regular speaker at industry events such as Metstrade, where she addresses topics including talent development, emerging technologies and the growing importance of sustainability in the marine sector.
“Becoming part of the Water Revolution Foundation board offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with industry experts equally passionate about embedding sustainability in yachting. The supply chain is instrumental for the acceleration of change through innovative product development. It is crucial that solutions reach the decision makers as early as possible, but also have their credentials checked. I’m honoured to have the opportunity to bring that perspective to the Foundation as we continue to drive meaningful, measurable progress towards a more sustainable future for our industry,” she said.
With her appointment, the foundation aims to further support sustainability-driven initiatives across the yacht industry value chain.
