Heesen’s project “Angelica” is sold

Schaffran

The Dutch shipyard Heesen has announced the sale of its 55-metre project “Angelica,” marking the company’s third sale in 2024. This latest addition to Heesen’s acclaimed 55-metre Steel series was finalised on December 30th, with delivery scheduled for Q2 2027.

According to Heesen, the client is an experienced superyacht owner who has requested several modifications to tailor the vessel to his lifestyle. Bringing the owner’s vision to life will be a collaborative effort involving Heesen’s skilled specialists, the owner’s team, and the designers at Luca Dini. Together, they will customise the yacht’s interior aesthetics to reflect the client’s unique preferences, creating a truly one-of-a-kind superyacht.

Familiar with the Heesen brand and its 55-metre series, the client appreciates the yacht’s expansive internal volume of 760 GT and extensive customisation opportunities. With nearly 400 square metres of interior space, the yacht offers ample room for relaxation, socialising, and private retreats. The layout accommodates up to twelve guests across seven luxurious staterooms.

Project “Angelica” powered by MTU engines

Project “Angelica” combines cutting-edge engineering with exceptional aesthetics. Like her sister yachts, much of her appeal lies beneath the waterline. Heesen highlights the vessel’s sleek and highly efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed by Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen’s in-house specialists, which ensures reduced fuel consumption and outstanding comfort in challenging sea conditions.

The yacht is powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines, each delivering 1,000 kW. These engines enable a top speed of 15.5 knots and provide a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at 13 knots.

Heesen’s vision for Project “Angelica”

Ruud van der Stroom, Chief Commercial Officer of Heesen Yachts, shared his excitement about the project: “I am delighted with this new contract and thoroughly enjoyed the sales process, which allowed us to work closely with a sophisticated client and his experienced team. Their vision for Project Angelica was both challenging and inspiring, engaging our design and engineering teams to craft innovative solutions that meet the client’s specific requirements.”

He added: “The Heesen 55-metre series offers an exceptional platform for clients to express their individuality and realise their ambitions. It combines striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness, and unmatched Dutch craftsmanship. The interior volumes are among the largest in their class, and the quality of workmanship is unparalleled. We are thrilled to welcome this client to the Heesen family and look forward to creating a superyacht that will be a remarkable addition to our fleet. Together, we will transform Project Angelica into a true reflection of its owner’s vision.”
