GX Superyachts has introduced its new GX34 model at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2025.
The announcement follows the recent start of construction on the company’s larger GX42 model. According to GX Superyachts, development of a second yacht was initiated in response to early interest in its product lineup.
The GX34 features hybrid propulsion
The GX34 incorporates hybrid propulsion, combining twin 200kW electric motors with up to 2,132kW of diesel power. The system enables electric propulsion for shorter distances and diesel engines for extended cruising. The yacht features a lithium-ion battery bank of up to 800kWh, which supports onboard systems and propulsion in electric mode. When battery levels are low, generators automatically activate, recharging the batteries within approximately three hours. During diesel-powered cruising, the electric motors can also function as generators, recovering otherwise lost energy.
Up to 46 solar panels can be integrated into the superstructure and hardtop of the GX34 RPH version, potentially generating up to 30MWh of energy annually. The system is designed to allow for extended periods at anchor without generator use, including silent operation of hotel systems for up to 48 hours. Additional efficiency is achieved through increased use of natural ventilation.
In hybrid mode at 6 knots, the GX34 offers an estimated range of 10,000 nautical miles. The yacht cruises at 12 knots and can reach a top speed of 16 knots, depending on the selected engine configuration. Options for higher-performance and “Hybrid Sport” packages are currently under consideration.

Design and layout
The GX34 was developed by a team of designers including Marco Casali (exterior and interior design) and Francesco Rogantin (naval architecture). The Palm Beach debut featured the raised pilothouse (RPH) variant, though Flybridge and Coupé versions are also available.
All models include an aft cockpit with dining and lounge areas. The lower aft deck expands to over 50 square meters when fold-down side wings are deployed. Optional features include a saltwater pool integrated into the swim platform, which also accommodates a tender of up to 4.5 meters.
The flybridge on the RPH version can be configured with various amenities such as lounge seating, dining space, a bar, and an optional Jacuzzi.
The GX34 offers five guest cabins, including an owner’s stateroom located on the main deck with 270-degree views through panoramic windows. Owners have the option to work with their own interior designers. Materials proposed for the interior include wood, leather, and stone, selected with a focus on sustainability.
Northrop & Johnson, acting as sales partner for GX Superyachts, described the partnership as part of its broader focus on design innovation and sustainability in the yachting sector.
