The Dubai International Boat Show (DBIS) is taking place for the 30th time this week. According to the organizers, the focus of the trade fair is also on sustainability concepts.

The trade fair starts on Wednesday in the port of Dubai and runs until Sunday. According to the organizers, it will also highlight wider national and regional sustainability efforts. These include Dubai Reef Project, which was announced at COP28 [ds_preview].

As one of the world’s largest marine reef development projects, the initiative will contribute to the emirate’s sustainability goals as well as the continued acceleration of the emirate’s maritime sector and related sub-sectors, it says.

Conference in the run-up

The annual Dubai Boat Show Leisure Yachting Conference, which takes place on February 27, is the official curtain raiser for DIBS, bringing together more than 100 industry leaders from around the world to address topics such as innovation, regulation, sustainability and the future of the sector.

The 30th Yacht Show is said to provide a platform for industry professionals as well as boating, marine and luxury lifestyle enthusiasts to discover the latest trends and innovations in the maritime world.

Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), said: “This year’s Dubai International Boat Show is our most transformative event yet and will bring together investors, experts and marine enthusiasts to foster collaboration and advance the regional marine industry.”

More than 200 boats expected at Dubai Port

More than 1,000 brands and over 200 boats from world-renowned shipyards such as Azimut, Sunseeker Gulf, Gulf Craft, Finnmaster, HP Watermakers, Oceano and Althaus Yachts will be on display.

Organized by DWTC, the event, which has 46 boat launches scheduled this year, builds on a three-decade legacy of hosting the world’s biggest marine brands in Dubai and providing a sales and networking platform of paramount importance for the largest domestic manufacturers and global distributors.

IMG Boats will launch three new boats at the show, while Riviera Boats and Al Fajer will launch two new boats each. Regional launches are expected from SF Yachts, Williams Tender, Ferretti and many others.
