Delta Marine unveils design in collaboration with Roberto Curtò

The US shipyard Delta Marine has unveiled a new 125-foot yacht design developed in collaboration with Italian designer Roberto Curtò. With the “Longtail” concept, the Seattle-based custom builder is taking a fresh stylistic direction, combining American engineering heritage with Italian design flair.

The project brings together two distinct design cultures: Delta Marine’s experience in building technically sophisticated megayachts in the Pacific Northwest meets Curtò’s avant-garde approach. The flowing lines of the 125-foot yacht are inspired by aerodynamic forms and aim to merge dynamic presence with formal clarity.

Outdoor living is at the heart of the concept. Expansive deck areas, generous lounge spaces and an oversized pool integrated into the beach club define the aft section as the social hub on board. Sliding cockpit sofas extend outwards, transforming the area into an open event space. The objective is a flexible layout capable of accommodating both quiet relaxation and larger gatherings.

The interior concept likewise focuses on openness and fluid transitions. Large, rounded windows are designed to flood the spaces with natural light, while lower glazing in the cabins enhances the visual connection to the sea. Natural materials, varied textures and a restrained design language shape the atmosphere. The sky lounge features textured wall coverings intended to add warmth and tactility.

Behind the expressive styling lies detailed naval architecture and engineering. Curtò’s design studio uses advanced 3D rendering software originally developed for aerospace applications. This enables surfaces, reflections and proportions to be simulated with near-photorealistic precision at an early stage and integrated into the engineering process.

For Delta Marine, the collaboration represents a strategic step. The yard views the partnership as an evolution of its design portfolio while maintaining its commitment to technical precision and craftsmanship. The “Longtail” concept is positioned as a bridge between traditional US excellence in custom yacht building and a contemporary, Mediterranean-inspired interpretation of luxury.
