Seattle-based shipyard Delta Marine has unveiled Project Discovery, a 47.5-metre yacht designed to embody an active lifestyle on the water. The sundeck features sun pads, a spa, a grill and a slide, creating a versatile open-air environment for relaxation and entertainment.
The 47.5 m long and 8.7 m wide yacht is powered by two Caterpillar engines, each delivering 1,200 BHP. With this setup, the 300 GT vessel reaches a top speed of around 15 knots.
Outdoor living and onboard wellness
On the bridge deck, a large outdoor table for twelve offers ample space for shared meals. A dedicated outdoor gym, positioned between the bridge and the Sea-Doos, allows guests to work out while enjoying panoramic views. On the main deck, a circular stone-mosaic bar serves as a social hub.
One of the yacht’s most distinctive features is the spacious lazarette, designed as both a functional workspace and a wellness retreat. Equipped with a sauna, cold plunge, full dive gear, paddleboards, scuba equipment and coolers for fresh catches, the area blends adventure with relaxation.
Interiors by Dasha Moranova Designs
The interiors were created in collaboration with Amsterdam-based designer Dasha Moranova. Project Discovery accommodates up to twelve guests in five cabins, including a VIP suite that can be converted into a large space for dual charter principals, as well as a dedicated children’s cabin for added flexibility. Each suite provides a private retreat.
The sky lounge, featuring a pull-out sofa, full bathroom and wardrobe, offers additional guest accommodation. Custom lighting, refined materials and curated tableware add sophistication to both intimate gatherings and larger groups, ensuring a balance of function and elegance throughout the interiors.
“I truly enjoyed designing Project Discovery. This yacht embodies everything we believe in: wellbeing at sea,” said Dasha Moranova.
