Damen Yachting launches third Yacht Support 53

Just a few days ago, Damen Yachting announced the nearing completion of the superyacht project “Albatross”. Now, the shipyard has launched another exciting project.

This marks the third Yacht Support vessel in the successful Yacht Support 53 series. The yacht was launched at Damen Yachting’s build facility in Antalya, with full support from the company’s Dutch engineering expertise and craftsmanship.

The 53-metre yacht has been launched ahead of her final build stage. The final outfitting and sea trials will take place over the next few months, with delivery scheduled for summer 2025.

A growing fleet of yacht support vessels

The first YS53, “Bad Company Support 175”, serves as the operational backbone of its owner’s extensive fleet, supporting a program that spans contemporary deep-sea fishing and scientific initiatives. The second YS53, “Five Oceans”, was purpose-built for adventure, exploration, and conservation.

Pim Oostra, Damen Yachting Project Manager for YS 5303, commented: “Today’s launch really reflects the fact that this latest Yacht Support design is now coming into its own as a series. We are looking forward to the final build stages as we prepare everything for completion this summer.”
