Damen Yachting presented its latest design concept – the “Xplorer 80” – at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
The “Xplorer” 80 is the latest addition to the Xplorer range, which already includes the “Xplorer 60” and the “Xplorer 105”. This latest 80m design is the successor to the SeaXplorer 77, Damen Yachting announces. According to the company, it is a crossover superyacht that combines luxury, expeditions and highly specialized shipbuilding.
For the exterior design, Damen Yachting has once again opted for a partnership with Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture to further develop the exterior lines of the “Xplorer 80”. For the interior design, the Dutch yacht builder has teamed up with London-based design studio Harrison Eidsgaard.
Damen offers various configuration options for “Xplorer 80”
The 80-metre yacht was developed with individual customization in mind. As such, the “Xplorer 80” offers a range of configuration options to suit every yacht lifestyle. Enrique Tintore, Design Manager of the Xplorer, explains: “The way the ‘Xplorer’ has been designed allows a high degree of flexibility to adapt to any extreme environment or refined landscape. If a helicopter is not essential for you, we have many other options for this space. Do you need a conference room or a seventh guest cabin? Or a separate fitness room and a state-of-the-art laboratory?”.
For the “Xplorer 80”, the yacht builder has teamed up with a number of exterior and interior designers to offer a unique range of alternatives around the same basic platform. For the exterior, alternative designs were created by Espen Øino, Harrison Eidsgaard and Azure Yacht Design, while both Winch Design and Reymond Langton provided alternative concepts for the interior.
