The manufacturer of integrated bridge systems, Anschütz, has teamed up with NavCom to provide refit solutions at MB92 Barcelona.
MB92 Barcelona, a division of the MB92 Group, is recognized globally for offering refit, repair, and maintenance solutions for superyachts up to 200 metres in length. Its service centre, located in the heart of Barcelona, is a strategic point in the Mediterranean. This partnership with Anschütz and NavCom will enable MB92 to further enhance its range of on-site support services for superyachts.
“We are delighted to enter into this cooperation with the NavCom Team to offer services at MB92,” said Philip Kankelfitz, Head of the Integrated Bridge Systems business unit at Anschütz. “Together with our partners, we are creating a seamless refit solution that customers can rely on. Our advanced navigation systems provide a sustainable, reliable, and user-friendly foundation for bridge systems, featuring intelligent functionalities and ensuring long-term compliance.”
Bridge systems optimized for retrofits
Anschütz’s integrated bridge systems are particularly suited for retrofit solutions, the company claims. Using standardized and easily integrated components for navigation and steering, as well as a smart bridge integration platform and modular application features, they ensure sustainable, safe, and efficient bridge operations. Continuous development and technical support guarantee the availability of customer-specific updates and upgrades, allowing vessels to meet future requirements and comply with new standards, according to Anschütz.
“We have enjoyed a long-term collaboration with Jaime Sánchez and the NavCom Team, sharing their commitment to continuously enhancing the services offered to clients. This new agreement with Anschütz greatly expands the options available at our Barcelona shipyard and reinforces the city’s status as a premier superyacht destination,” said Giovanni Marré, MB92 Group Procurement Manager.
“As the NavCom Team, we have demonstrated in many joint projects with Anschütz and MB92 that we can deliver smart, efficient, and sustainable refit solutions with reliability, speed, and top quality. As part of our long-term partnership, we continue to rely on Anschütz’s proven navigation systems to keep our customers’ bridge systems up to date. Our customers’ high satisfaction worldwide is a testament to our success,” said Jaime Sánchez, NavCom Team Director.
