In 2022, the 85-meter superyacht Victorious claimed the title of the largest yacht ever built in Turkey. However, this record will soon be surpassed, as Akyacht has now embarked on an even larger superyacht project. Supporting this ambitious endeavor is Hamburg-based supplier Jastram.

Akyacht has confirmed plans for a new superyacht build that will exceed Victorious in size, with the first steel cut scheduled for November. The vessel will be equipped with two side thrusters from Jastram’s BU 90 series, produced at Jastram’s headquarters in Hamburg-Bergedorf. This collaboration was announced by Jastram, its Turkish representative Nemo Marin, and Akyacht during the Europort Istanbul. Dutch yacht designer Azure is also part of the project team.

Advanced shipbuilding facilities at Akyacht

The shipyard operates from Kocaeli, near Istanbul. The facility holds ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications from Lloyd’s, affirming its commitment to quality and environmental standards. It includes a 2,000 m², 100-meter-long build shed and a second 1,200 m², 60-meter-long shed, both climate-controlled and equipped with adjoining workshops. The shipyard spans approximately 15,000 m² of waterfront property.

Akyacht’s in-house capabilities are extensive, covering joinery, painting, outfitting, piping, machinery, and electrical systems. The team is supported by project management, planning, engineering, interior design, and quality assurance departments, ensuring all aspects of construction are managed to the highest standards.
