The Rendsburg shipyard Nobiskrug has signed a contract with an international broker for superyachts for a new build[ds_preview].
Together with Winch Design, Nobiskrug and the broker Cecil Wright will work on the design and construction of an 80 m superyacht with five decks. She is due to be handed over to the owner in 2025.
The current order book thus includes four orders in the important superyacht segment and underlines the successful realignment of Nobiskrug, it says. “We have asserted ourselves in a market with strong demand. We won this contract because our goal as a German shipyard is to combine the latest technology with the highest quality and we have the expertise to implement the owner’s unique wishes,” says Philipp Maracke, Managing Director of Nobiskrug.
As the shipbuilding architect, Nobiskrug is responsible for the entire engineering across all disciplines. State-of-the-art calculation methods are used to ensure that the ship’s lines are optimized for ideal seakeeping and maximum propulsion efficiency. During the design process, the layout of all systems required for ship operation is strictly monitored in order to keep energy requirements as low as possible.
Both the exterior of the ship and the interior design were created by the Winch Design studio in London. The yacht has a spacious interior as well as an extensive beach club and spa area.
The handover of the ship to the owner, who wishes to remain unnamed, is planned for 2025. The Cecil Wright team specializes in large Northern European yachts over 60 meters in length. Cecil Wright is acting on behalf of the owner and Maracke is also taking on the project management for the construction.
