At the upcoming Boot exhibition in Düsseldorf, HP Watermakers will launch their newest innovation: the HP Genius water dispenser. According to the manufacturer, this lighter version is easier to install and adjust.
HP Genius enables yacht owners to drink water directly from the tap, including sparkling water at their preferred temperature. The new version of this device will be showcased at Boot Düsseldorf from 18 to 26 January 2025.
“The new HP Genius sets new standards in terms of low weight and ease of use, but it will not be our stand’s only attraction: we will also be displaying the new HP SCA Double 440 watermaker and the HP Kilo, a compact and highly efficient watermaker ideal for smaller boats,” stated Gianni Zucco, co-founder of HP Watermakers.
HP Genius: No bacteria, no chlorine
HP Genius is a complete solution for providing drinking water onboard: a water dispenser directly connected to a tank-linked water distribution system, capable of producing purified, chilled, and/or sparkling water. With HP Genius, bacteria-free purified water with no unpleasant chlorine taste is available directly from the tap in the galley, where the device is typically installed.
The ultrafiltration system removes all traces of chlorine and traps bacteria as well as a wide range of pollutants that may contaminate water during its journey from the tank to the tap (e.g., metals, pesticides, hydrocarbons). Additionally, the bactericidal silver ion treatment system sterilizes the water at the point of exit. A re-mineralizing filter enriches the water with essential minerals, enhancing its taste.
The HP Genius AG filter, supplied with brackets and heads for easy installation on bulkheads, eliminates bacteria, unwanted odors, and flavors, reduces chlorine, and offers a nominal filtration rating of 0.1 microns. This high-performance filtering cartridge combines the benefits of silver ions with ultrafiltration, blocking over 99.9% of all bacteria.
The HP Genius Mineral filter, also supplied with brackets and heads for bulkhead installation, is a re-mineralizing cartridge designed for low-salinity water, such as that produced by a reverse osmosis desalination system. The device’s dimensions remain the same as the previous model—225x463x443 mm (LxDxH)—but its weight has been reduced to just 15 kg.
HP Watermakers’ Strategic Alliance
The German trade show will also provide an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between HP Watermakers, Mase, GenSet, Besenzoni, Mapei Marine, and Feit Pompe. This strategic alliance is set to become one of the most influential players in the nautical industry. New business agreements have been signed in Europe, and the foundations for collaboration in the American market have been laid, leveraging the extensive experience of the partners in the region. This effort is bolstered by the opening of a new branch in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, inaugurated during last autumn’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
